Washing and degassing

Washing and degassing of vehicles that transport dangerous goods

Mechanical sediments and grime that occur during transportation of dangerous goods and pyrophoric sediments during transportation of liquefied gas interfere with the normal operation of individual nodes, creating danger of ignition, burning, and explosion. Periodic washing and degassing, steam treatment and inspection of internal surfaces of tanks that carry dangerous goods are crucial prerequisites for detection possible defects, as the main goal is the elimination of possible danger. The institute conducts technical inspection of tanks that carry dangerous goods in order to detect defects. Washing-degassing works are carried out when:

  • Higher viscosity oil products are replaced with transparent oil products,
  • One of the transported clear oil products is replaced with another,
  • A technical examination is conducted to obtain a Technical Certificate,
  • The tank itself or the fixing nodes are being repaired
