At the beginning of the meeting, members of the Academic Council honored the blessed memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom of Garabagh with a minute of silence.
The first issue on the agenda of the Academic Council is a report on the work done in the departments and laboratories they head for the first half of 2023 in accordance with the thematic work plan of the Institute.
The report was made by:
- Yashar Alakbarov, Head of the Department for Safety Analysis of Potentially Hazardous Facilities in Oil and Gas Production, Development of Preventive Measures and Forecast Modeling;
- Khayal Asgarov, Head of the Laboratory of Physico-Chemical Research;
- Etibar Yusifli, Head of the Laboratory of Hygiene and Sanitation in the Radiation Industry.
Members of the Academic Council made proposals and expressed their opinions.
The chief engineer of the Institute, Samaddin Gahramanov, made a report on the state of work carried out in the direction of modernizing equipment and instruments in the laboratories. He noted that, despite the work carried out in this direction, there is a great need for diagnostic equipment that meets modern requirements. S. Gahramanov emphasized the importance of cooperation with leading foreign companies in this matter. Members of the Scientific Council, speaking on this matter, proposed to draw up a list of necessary instruments.
Moreover, the level of cooperation of the Institute with universities and similar research institutions, the involvement of professional specialists and young personnel in research work.
Information about the work of the “Research Work” (portal), created on the Institute’s website, was presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council, Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Work, Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering, Associate Professor Panah Suleymanov.
The importance of training young personnel was emphasized at the meeting.
Members of the Academic Council expressed their opinions on the work done and, in their recommendations, talked about plans for the future.
