The Baku Marathon was organized for the 8th time in the capital at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Held under the slogan “Conquer the Wind,” the event gave participants the opportunity to test their strength along a 21-kilometer running route. More than 20,000 participants took part in the marathon, which aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and demonstrate willpower.
Among the runners were employees of the State Agency for Safe Conduct of Work in Industry and Mining Control under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, specifically from the Azerbaijani State Scientific Research Institute of Labor Protection and Safety Engineering. Representing the institute, Shahbaz Babayev, Lada Mehdiyeva, Sovet Imanov, Rafael Mammadov, and Ulvi Huseynov successfully completed the marathon — covering the distance from the starting line to the finish and becoming active participants of this grand sporting event.
