Azerbaijan started annually to mark April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health since 2003, as the ideas of a culture of safety at work were promoted in the country with the help of the International Labor Organization.
From this point of view, the Azerbaijan State Scientific-Research Institute of Labor Protection and Safety Techniques, which has a special place and role in the path of scientific and technical progress of the Independent Republic of Azerbaijan, has passed a great development path since its establishment, specializing in labor protection and safety techniques, taking the human factor as the basis. The institute has always carried out and is carrying out great work to ensure healthy and safe working conditions for workers in production areas.
The specialists of the Industrial Sanitation and Hygiene Laboratory of the Institute in this field, constantly carries out workplace attestation. The main goal here is to determine the measures to be taken for the timely detection and prevention of factors that may harm people's health at workplaces.
Moreover, in addition to the implementation of practical work, the Rules and Instructions prepared by the Institute for Labor Protection in accordance with the relevant professions in the production fields play a key role in the education of employees.
The Institute constantly cooperates with international companies in the implementation of international norms and standards that meet the modern requirements of Labor Protection and, as always, plays the role of an innovator. As April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated in the cities and regions of the Republic, is also marked at the Institute as a special day within the framework of the program.
