21 September – World Peace Day

The International Day of Peace, also officially known as World Peace Day, is a United Nations-sanctioned (30 November 1981) holiday observed annually on 21 September. 192 countries voted unanimously in favour of the decision.

The Day of Peace is celebrated to fight deep-rooted violence not only among peoples, but also in families and schools, which makes it crucial for the population of the entire planet.

One of the main objectives is to inspire peace in people. This requires everyone’s help, whoever wants to achieve peace, regardless of age, race, nationality, religion, and gender.

The hardship of war is over. The heavy burden of injustice that had been weighing us down for so long has finally been lifted off our shoulders. The valiant warriors who bravely faced death and demonstrated true heroism while advancing towards the goal cherished by the entire nation, led by the victorious commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev, bestowed the joy of victory upon us.

The pain and joy of those days, the valour of our brave sons who liberated our native lands at the cost of their blood, the national unity that set an example for the whole world will inspire art and history oeuvres and films. The name of each martyr and veteran will be immortalized and never forgotten, their dear memory always living on in our hearts.

Ilham Aliyev, our irreplaceable leader, the victorious commander of our modern army, is truly writing history, who continues his fight to build a happier future for the people of Azerbaijan and peace in our country. It will set an example for future generations and other countries.
